Reinhard Podolsky
With the “Land in Sight” project, photographer Reinhard Podolsky, born in Vienna in 1963, has specialized in a special kind of sophisticated landscape photography. In years of work, the Lower Austrian, who lives as a European, perfected a technique with which he extracts the essence of the landscape from the raw data of the digital images. On site, he captures the authenticity of the moment with the sharpest precision - in the work you can feel the wind, smell the flowers and see the movement of the dramatic play of clouds. His monumental, razor-sharp landscape portraits (portraits (up to 6m (20ft) wide and 1.80m (6ft) high) often consist of more than a hundred shots. In addition to professional product and person shots, landscape photography (with annual exhibitions and commissioned work) is part of the portfolio of the advertising agency mediadesign, which Reinhard Podolsky founded in 1998 with its current headquarters in Burgschleinitz on the border between the Waldviertel and Weinviertel. As the only advertising agency in the Waldviertel, Reinhard Podolsky and his team have brought Lower Austria's highest advertising prize to Burgschleinitz several times. Before his time in the Waldviertel, Reinhard Podolsky was head of graphics at the Austria Press Agency in Vienna for ten years. He founded and built up the graphics department and managed it until he jumped into self-employment 24 years ago.
