I joined the Navy in the early 80s and left the Midwest to see the world; that experience has left me wanting adventure and travel. I started my photography journey at the end of my navy career. I call it a journey because it seems like I am still constantly traveling from one place to another, but now I have a camera with me at all times, much to my family’s annoyance. Traveling to different locations from coast to coast has allowed me to work on my artistic composition and develop my craft. Not knowing what you find from one location to the next makes a person flexible and adaptable; my navy life greatly helps with that trait. Being located out of Southern California, specifically in North County San Diego, gives me some prime west coast shooting locations, from Yosemite NPS to the Olympic NPS and all the locations between. It is a joy and a challenge to see them all.
