I am from Guwahati, a city in North East India, and I have been in this field of photography since 1998. I did my double master’s in geography and environmental planning and held different jobs in INGOs, NGOs, and the government sector.
Though I started off with a regular job, photography and creative arts constantly occupied my heart and mind. What started off as a hobby transformed into a profession in 2013 when I finally answered my calling.
With a deep interest in travel and nature photography, I specialise in landscapes.
Even though I don’t keep track of my achievements, I consider my publications in Nat Geo Your Shot and National Geographic Magazine, including the book ‘Getting Your Shot’ published by National Geographic, as the high point in my photographic journey.
I also won the Night Sky Award in the prestigious ILPOTY 2020.
