I had the idea for this location for some time but had to wait for a low tide at or around sunset. It was taken at Tresaith beach near Aberporth, Ceredigion, Wales. A relatively long shutter speed on the tripod-mounted camera allowed a blurring of the water as it washed around the rocks at a 35mm equivalent lens setting of 24mm. The scene required a high dynamic range due to the high contrast, which was probably the most significant challenge.
