It was a gloomy afternoon at Bryce Canyon, with sudden wind and rain. Due to the chilly weather, not many tourists were in the park. I was returning to my car after a short hike and suddenly realized that I had missed this amazing lone tree on my way up the hill.
The tree had so many details to capture in one frame. The roots alone were a wonderful frame, and so was the whole tree with its surroundings. The tree was right at the edge, and it wasn't easy to hold the camera sufficiently up and get part of the canyon into the composition.
My fingers were getting numb due to the cold wind blowing over the canyon. As I was trying to frame the tree, I realized that I was a lone tourist or photographer standing there with no one around and trying to capture the beauty of the lone tree.
