I am a landscape photographer living and working in Jerusalem. I worked at the start of my career as a studio photographer shooting magazine covers of newsworthy and entertainment personalities.
I took up documentary video and photography assignments in the mid-80s. I have photographed documentary essays of the Dead Sea, Basques living in remote villages of the Pyrenees, Bedouins in Petra, woman soldiers in Israeli combat units, Independence Day celebrations in the Dominican Republic, and Street photography in Shanghai and Beijing.
From the early 1990s to 2001, I turned to street photography to look more carefully at the world around me and discover beauty in unusual places. Since 2001 my work has been exclusively landscape photography.
I encourage viewers to revisit everyday scenes, finding a new and surprising perspective. Although my subjects have changed, the exploration of form, colour and texture remains the same.
