My passion for photography began when my mother gave me my first camera, a Rolleiflex, at the age of six. My photographic style and technique hark back to the era of film cameras and single exposures. In 2001, I relocated from Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Alaska. Inspired by its dark winters, I quickly fell in love with the state and have since devoted my time to capturing the night sky and the Northern Lights. In 2013, I opened the Aurora Dora Gallery in downtown Talkeetna, Alaska, where I showcase my images and share my knowledge through photography workshops. Night photography is my passion. Each year, I take time off from my gallery to travel to various locations to photograph astro landscapes and the Milky Way. My work has been featured in numerous publications, including NASA, The Washington Post, Alaska Magazine, and National Geographic.
