The lighthouse at Black Head is not very spectacular in itself. Its immediate surroundings, on the other hand, are. Amidst a bizarre scenery of steep limestone mountains and rocky coastline, the lighthouse looks as if it were not from this world.

Without hesitation, and moved by the history and beauty of this place, I decided to see for myself if it was really worth visiting. I think it was worth going to Black Head that day. The place greeted me with beautiful light in the moonlit scenery.
