I arrived at Manteo, North Carolina, very early with the plan to shoot sunrise. The water was very still, creating fantastic reflections. The skies were clear, making the stars and the crescent moon clearly visible. The scene just called for black and white since it was still nighttime anyway.
I have photographed this lighthouse many times, but each visit has different conditions, so I challenge myself to find a new composition. This is a favorite area of coastal North Carolina that I visit often.
