This picture is actually part of a sunrise time-lapse I took recently in Rodna Mountains, Romania.
For a brief time in early summer, there are areas in the Carpathian Mountains that get covered in pink: Rhododendron kotschyi flowers are in bloom. I spent the night in a mountain refuge to be able to sleep as close as possible to this special place. Finding a spot with a good foreground that has a good view of Lala Lake and also gets the first rays of sunlight was not an easy challenge, but it was definitely worth it!
