This image was made during a recent workshop to shoot fall colors in Alaska. The Matanuska Glacier, a 25-mile river of ice, is framed by trees, shrubs, and the peaks of the Chugach Range in the distance. From where I was standing, the glacier was hidden by a hill directly in front of us. Using a camera drone and ascending vertically a few hundred feet allowed me to create this image.
