Young poplar forests are among the most striking locations for a landscape photographer. They offer unique perspectives—whether in summer, with the trees in full leaf, or in winter, when the trees stand bare.
A few days ago, on a clear, sunny day, I was captivated by a small forest of poplars planted, some years ago, in precise, straight lines. I photographed the scene from a low position using a wide-angle lens. A slight correction of the perspective was applied to the image. The leading lines seemed to point toward “infinity,” drawing my eyes along with them.
