I took this stitched panorama looking over False Bay shortly after sunset. As the sun was setting, there were only lighter yellows far in the distance, making for quite a flat image overall.
I had almost given up on capturing a usable sunset and was just standing there looking out over False Bay and the Cape Flats. The sun had finally set, and I thought the day was done. Suddenly, these deep oranges and yellows started to stretch out into the clouds above me, leaving faint blues in the distance and dark purples directly above.
I managed to capture a few images that I stitched into this beautiful sunset panorama, with the Cape Peninsula mountains silhouetted behind False Bay. The colour lasted only moments as the last light faded, leaving just dark grey clouds.
