While climbing the dunes in Death Valley, I tried to hurry to meet my group as it was getting dark. I turned around just one more time and saw this view. I quickly snapped the picture, not expecting to get a great shot, and left.
When I began to take photography seriously, my mentor at that time suggested that I always turn around when I choose my composition, as there might be one behind me as well. This was a perfect example, as I would have missed this Moonshine shot.
