On an earlier visit to the Mont Tremblant area I had captured several landscapes. Here is a previously published example.

During a follow-up visit in October of 2022, I returned with friends, searching particularly for autumn landscape scenes including reflections in the many lakes in the area. This well-known and popular tourist region is a two-hour drive north of Montreal.

Approaching Lac Superieur, I was struck by the calm surface, the curves of the shoreline and the shape of the mountains in the background. The bright autumn colours were caught perfectly reflected in the water. I took this picture.

I then framed another image, concentrating on the trees on the left side of the frame. The camera was handheld with an 80 mm focal length.

What a gorgeous day! Next autumn I know exactly were to go!
