This picture was taken on a clear, calm Winter day at Pensacola Beach, FL. Fairly cool that day, but no wind. Because of the cool temperature, the beach was nearly empty. The dark blue of the Gulf of Mexico highlights the pure white sand of the beach and compliments the blue sky. No boats or birds near the calm Gulf waters. You couldn't ask for a more serene image. The image was taken in the 35mm range of the Nikon 18-300mm lens. Timing and lighting make the picture.
