As we sat in our vehicle at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, waiting to board the first ferry of the day for Victoria on Vancouver Island, I was not expecting to see much in the darkness at 5:00 a.m.! To my amazement, the variegated colors from several well-lit cranes and other loading and un-loading dock equipment at nearby Point Robert's Delta Port cast a brilliant kaleidoscope of colorful reflections over the waters.
This bustling port facility is on a long causeway jutting out from the mainland coastline of the Strait of Georgia in Delta, British Columbia. Instead of looking rather stark and bleak as it usually does in the light of day, at this moment, the scene appeared more like an artist's mural than one of the busiest import/export ports in North America!
