This lonely old Hickory Tree stands firmly in a field just down the road from where I work.

I have visited this tree often for the past several years, and this particular study was captured handheld on afternoon lunch break.

When I arrived at the scene I knew the clouds surrounding the tree and the leading lines in the field would make a dramatic study in black and white.
