We are in Prarolo, near the graveyard, where, in the early afternoon, the rice fields started to put on a show with bright reflections.

Once the land has been prepared around mid-April, it will be flooded, giving life to the famous "checkered seas" in which the rice will be sown by scattering.

Rice cultivation is, in fact, the crop that optimizes the use of water resources the best.

There is also dry sowing, also known as sowing in underground rows. Rice sowing is approached in this sense in a similar way to that of other straw-bearing cereals.
