In February 2024, I visited Sedona, AZ, for a week. One of my hopes was to capture an image of the Milky Way rising above iconic Cathedral Rock.
This location, with an area of slick rock with depressions that fill with water after rain or snow, served well for my purposes. Hiking out to this spot in the early morning hours with no company except for howling coyotes in the distance, was a special experience indeed.
