On my second trip to the east coast of Greenland last year, this time in late September, towering icebergs and stunning reflections were photographed in Scoresby Sund, the most extensive fjord system in the world, high above the Arctic, at sunrise and sunset from Zodiacs and our sailboat.
The icebergs were stunning to photograph against the soft, pastel light. High Arctic light is often characterized by such colors, reflecting the low angle of the sun. A sense of tranquility and ethereal beauty is experienced when the light is soft and diffused.
