I have visited the Beaufort, NC, area several times to photograph wild horses. I like this area because the horses are on islands, which means fewer people.

I charter a boat with a local boat captain that I have known for years. Last May, we came upon this beautiful young stallion at Shackleford Banks. I got several shots of his beautiful mane.
