On a cool day at the end of winter, a friend and I made the long walk out to Rialto Beach to photograph some of the sea stacks on Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula coast. As the sun neared the horizon, the light got better and better until it culminated in a spectacular melding of golden hour and blue hour.
