Silky Waters After Sunset, Boa Nova, Matosinhos, Porto, Portugal

After seeing and photographing a magnificent sunset yesterday, as night fell, the darkness and calm of the ocean waters mesmerized me. In order to try to capture the atmosphere of the moment, with my camera mounted on a tripod, I used an ND filter (in-camera), a remote shutter, and a very long exposure. This allowed me to capture the fluidity of the Atlantic waters, which appeared as a silk cloth, contrasting with the emerging black rocks.
