The picture was taken on a local camera club outing a few years back. I had just arrived at the location. The sun had set on the western horizon. The sky was absolutely clear. A beautiful Belt of Venus formed on the eastern horizon behind the peak on a cold but calm evening.
I frantically set my tripod and camera to capture the mountain with the amazing backdrop of the Venus belt. I liked the small patch of dry grass and small rocks and used them as my foreground. Though I captured many images on the trip, this was the best image I got. The image has minimal adjustments applied in Lightroom. The image did win honors in the club competition.
