I took this photograph on the Mt. LeConte trail in the Smoky Mountains. I wasn’t looking for anything in particular, but I was incredibly lucky with the conditions. The fog created a haunting and somewhat unsettling world. The atmosphere of the photograph can seem almost like a fairy tale, something calming, or even something haunted. The variety of interpretations is the best aspect of this image to me.
