Skimmer Dragon Flies, Titlow Park, Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington, USA
I was taking pictures of birds on this pond and noticed several pairs of skimmers that would, on occasion, hover in place, so I gave it a try. I was surprised to catch several reasonably in-focus shots. This was my favorite because of the water color and swirls, almost mimicking a landscape.
