This photo is from my visit to Dubrovnik several years ago. I was there for a street photography tour, but I planned my schedule for early mornings and late afternoons till dusk for landscape photography.
The old town was a gem for street photography, so I focused on finding good spots in the old town where I could also take landscape photos. As some of you might remember, a very popular TV show was being recorded there at that time, and therefore the city was full of tourists. So I directed my search towards finding relatively quiet spots.
On my first day there, I noticed that beautiful golden light was hitting the rocks, sea stacks, and castle walls, but also that some parts were left in shadows because of the formation of the coastline and land, which created great contrast and depth in the photo.
Hopefully, the weather conditions were similar the next day so I could capture this photo while the golden sunlight was hitting the rocks.
