On a gloomy morning, thick with clouds, some threatening, and dark because it wasn’t yet dawn, a gap in the clouds and the landscape appeared. The miracle of dawn light materialized out of nowhere. I had a few moments to photograph that marvelous light, and then everything was darkness again. Shortly after, a heavy rain fell on the lake.
