Very rarely do I see someone else’s images and say I want that photo. This was one of only two locations I have had such an intense desire to photograph.
A bucket list photo for me, and I finally got the opportunity to get it today. Still, it wasn’t without hazards, drama, more time than I thought I would need, no formed tracks, so most of the afternoon I spent crossing the river several times, clambering over massive boulders, logs and strong currents in the water and “bush bashing” my way up the river.
There was a lot of spray, so I was cleaning my lens after each photo and even speeding up the shutter to avoid waiting too long, as the lens would then once again be covered with spray from the waterfall.
Happy I made the effort to go in and get it
