After seeing and photographing yesterday’s (near-total) solar eclipse, I admired a magnificent sunset behind a European hackberry tree, laden with black drupes fluttering in the warm breeze. The images were taken as the sun, like a gigantic, brilliant ball of fire, touched the horizon. With the camera mounted on a tripod and a very small lens aperture (f/29), two images, one focused and exposed on the tree and the other focused and exposed on the sun, were blended together to obtain this final image.
