One of the most wonderful mornings on our recent Iceland tour was spent watching the sun rise over Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. This famous glacial lake in southeast Iceland is filled with massive floating icebergs that calve from Vatnajökull—the largest and most voluminous ice cap in Iceland and the whole of Europe.
Both the formations and the blue color of some of the icebergs were just incredible to see. Like many times before when I’ve been photographing, I found I needed to put down the camera just to take it all in.
