After driving through the night to reach this spot before sunrise, I had no idea such a magnificent welcome was waiting for me.
As the first golden light broke across the horizon, the sky exploded in a symphony of cotton-candy pink, soft lavender, and deep purple hues.
These colors were perfectly mirrored in the vast, glassy water in the foreground, creating a dreamlike reflection.
Behind the still waters and emerald-green plains rose the striking central peak known as The Girl’s Hill (Kız Tepesi). Its iconic layered bands—nature’s own rainbow—were formed over millions of years through the slow oxidation of iron and other minerals.
Just beyond this colorful hill lies a peaceful bird reservoir, a hidden sanctuary that makes this remote corner of central Anatolia feel like a true natural treasure.
A serene, almost otherworldly moment captured at the perfect hour.
