I tutor a small group of people interested in photography, and occasionally, I take them to various locations. On this trip, we visited Madeira, a Portuguese island in the Atlantic Ocean, located 500 miles southeast of mainland Portugal.
Normally, I use my Nikon Z8 full-frame camera, but this time I traveled light, carrying only my Nikon Zfc and a single lens, the 18-140mm. It is an excellent travel camera.
Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side that day, as heavy rain showers punctuated our schedule. We stopped for coffee in the town of São Vicente, and as the downpour eased and finally stopped, we seized the opportunity to take a few pictures. The Capela de Nossa Senhora de Fátima, a church perched atop a hill, stood out beautifully against the surrounding mountain range and rain clouds.
