This Otago Coast & Catlins Photography Workshop is an immersive 8-day journey through some of New Zealand’s most varied and rewarding landscapes on the South Island.
From Queenstown, travel through the historic heart of Central Otago, photographing gold-mining settlements, quiet lakes, rolling high-country landscapes, and the rugged scenery that defines this remarkable region. From there, we continue to the Otago Coast, where dramatic cliffs, remote beaches, limestone formations, and the iconic Moeraki Boulders provide outstanding photographic opportunities.
The second half of the workshop is spent exploring the Catlins, one of New Zealand’s true hidden gems. Here, ancient rainforest, wild coastlines, waterfalls, sea caves, and marine wildlife combine to create a landscape unlike anywhere else in the country.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll receive hands-on guidance in composition, camera technique, light, and creative decision-making while building a diverse portfolio of images across a wide range of subjects and landscapes.
Limited to just five participants, this is the ultimate small-group photography experience. Single-occupancy accommodation throughout, daily breakfast, a welcome dinner, transport, and park entry fees are all included, with every aspect of the workshop carefully planned and organised, allowing you to focus entirely on photography and the experience of exploring these remarkable landscapes.
