By late November, the festive season is already beginning to gather momentum. The noise, the rush, the constant reminders of what comes next. This foggy afternoon in the forest offered a welcome counterpoint.

Wrapped in mist, the trees and still water seemed to exist outside of time. The world softened, distractions faded, and the boundaries between myself and the landscape became less distinct.

For a while, there was nothing to do, nowhere to be, and nothing to consume—only the quiet presence of nature. A moment to feel grounded, centred, and connected to something older and steadier than the pace of everyday life.
