From its rapid spring growth to its pollinator-loving flowers and now with its photogenic down, the progression of milkweed through the year within its broader landscape is a fascinating study and creates a unique ‘Autumn Mood’.
With its dramatic light and colors, autumn mornings are a magical time for landscape photography and demanding of our equipment. Being new to Sony (I purchased the a7R VI and 16-35/2.8 specifically for landscape photography), this photograph was made on my first morning with the system in a local place I am quite familiar with. I wanted to “kick the tires” of the camera and was hoping to really push the DR. The morning did not disappoint.
