This single frame was captured shortly after leaving the waterfall at Skógafoss.
The soft, golden light illuminated the hillside, while an endless sea of lupines stretched across the landscape. It wasn’t a location I had planned to photograph, but sometimes the unplanned moments end up being the most memorable.
Pulling over for this scene was one of the best decisions of the trip.
