The Stolické vrchy Mountains (Slovakia) are located near my home, making them a frequent hiking destination for me. These are largely untouched forests where one can still encounter wildlife, including wolves and bears. They are home to ancient beech trees and offer stunning landscape views. On a freezing December day, I was walking along the northern slope of Pasiečky Hill (922 m). As the sun dipped behind the horizon, it created a magical play of light. This spectacle lasted only a brief moment, but the feeling stays with me to this day.
