On my very first trip to California, I really wanted to see either redwoods or giant sequoias. Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park was the closest option, so redwoods it would be! I was somewhat new to the world of DSLR cameras and was struggling to capture a picture that showed the massive scale of these trees, so I decided to point the camera upwards. This became my favorite shot from that park.
