This formidable hill range in the southern part of India is covered by very dense forest. The forest supports a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, tigers, and leopards. It is also home to hundreds of species of birds. Some tribal people live in these parts. It is hard to get around this region without help from experienced guides.
