I was wanting to go back to the Venice Beach Pier again to do another sunset photo op, but almost didn’t go because of the 1-1/4-hour drive (I was worried the sun would be concealed too much by all of the storm clouds everywhere). Once I arrived, though, I immediately realized it was going to be an incredible sunset.
This photo was taken about 20 minutes after the sun had set behind the storm clouds, and it was fairly dark but also still very lit up behind the clouds. I also used my iPhone “flashlight” to light up the foreground by waving it back and forth during the exposure. The colors were just incredible.
