I completed my training as a military photographer at the Royal Navy School of Photography, Royal Naval Air Station Lossiemouth, Moray, Scotland in 1969/70. I had not returned until 2019 when I visited my longtime Army buddy. A couple of nostalgic walks and visits followed.
As a young soldier, I visited East Beach not to take photographs, but to swim and attempt body surfing. Many things have changed in those years. The bridge to the beach is no longer there; it has been replaced nearby with a new structure. The beach, however, has not changed. I prefer to take my pictures as I see them. This shot brings back many memories.
