A phenomenal early June day coming to a close on the southern Oregon coast. Summer on the Oregon coast usually does not arrive until mid-July. On this early June day, we spent most of the daylight hours walking among the huge cedar, Douglas fir, and Sitka spruce trees.

By sunset, we were back at the beach, and the sun was sinking behind the low clouds well off the coast. The uneven cloud tops generated these spectacular crepuscular rays as the last crescent of the sun sank below the horizon.
