Corbiere Lighthouse Sunset, Saint Brelade, Jersey

That photo was taken on the British Crown Dependency Island of Jersey in August-like weather, even though it was only May. Cliffs, sublime beaches, and coastal paths overlooking the sea—splendid nature was the menu for that short trip.

The magnificent Corbière Lighthouse is located on the southwestern tip of the island. The lighthouse, 19 meters high with a lantern and gallery, was erected in 1873 on a jagged rock mass. It is only accessible at low tide; at high tide, the rock becomes an island.

I was positioned, waiting for the lighthouse to light up at the transition between the very end of sunset and the blue hour.
