I recently found this awesome area in the desert of Green Valley. It is surrounded by these cholla cacti. I have been eyeing this area for a while, but just never committed to photographing it. I finally decided to stop waiting and just go out there and try to find a composition.
While out there, the cholla cacti had so many different shapes and multiple textures to look at. It was honestly somewhat overwhelming to try and find a composition to take.
The sun was setting, and the reflection off the cacti needles just looked so beautiful. I then finally found a bunch of chollas that I just thought looked very interesting. I decided to take the image on a lower angle to get the strong detail from the cacti. The sun was also peeking between this cholla cactus that divided into two that I just really enjoyed.
