Cascade Head, Tillamook, Oregon, USA

To culminate a long weekend of coastal photography in Oregon, my friend and I set out to hike Cascade Head for sunset. The clouds were building, and we thought we were going to be shut out. However, just before the sun dipped below the horizon, a band of sunlight broke through and lit up the scene with a warm evening glow.

The sun shone on the land and reflected on the ocean, drawing your eye into the cove where the waves crashed upon the shore. This light lasted just a few minutes, but it was enough to warm our hearts and capture a beautiful end to the day at a place where the land ends.
