I bought a camera when the kids were small to try to capture those moments I knew I would later cherish. As the kids grew older, and their journeys grew wider, I fell in love again with nature and the way I felt there with my family. I grew up camping every summer at Mount Rainier, and wanted to share those experiences with my kids. I started to try to learn how to capture that feeling in my photos. My art became a way of capturing and communicating the peace, serenity and gratitude I feel at the beauty around me. My family likes to tease me for the antics I pull to 'get the shot,' but I have only fallen in once!
