I have been photographing natural landscapes for around ten years. Usually, I go on walks where I can't help myself but stop every five minutes to capture something that has caught my eye. I have a background in archaeology, which has really altered how I approach a landscape, both aesthetically and conceptually. I often find myself wandering around, what at first may appear to be a natural landscape, but upon looking closer, has signs barely visible of past human modification or influence. I like to think about how landscapes have been used for thousands of years and how different groups of people would have perceived natural features like hills, lakes, rivers and valleys.
