I have been a photographer for 50 years, generally concentrating on natural aspects of the landscape and night photography of Renaissance and Medieval architecture in Germany, my wife's birthplace. Over the years, I have used 35mm, medium, and large format film cameras, transitioning to digital cameras as the technology matured. I work in both color and black & white as the envisioned image dictates. I love creating new, perhaps unconventional compositions that are immersive and expressive, as opposed to repetitive 'formula' images of frequently photographed scenes. I am educated as a geologist and incorporate those insights into my images.
